NETGEAR READYNAS RND 102 -from 2013

I have an older Readynas RND 102 with two disks, mirroring.

Today I put the wrong power supply into it, 55VDC belonging my Switch. Of course now it's dead.

Finding the defect component not easy, cannot identify any fuse either. So solution gonna be take out the data, transfering it onto elsewhere.

What kind of Software should I use, and will the disk(s) appear on my computer with the same folder structure as it was in the nas? Is it an option borrowing a Netgear NAS, putting in my disk, and easily take out the content?

If the disks were not damaged when you plugged in the wrong supply, then recovering the data is certainly posslble.

If you are comfortable with the linux command line, then  you can connect one of the disks to a Linux PC, and manually mount the volume.  This would require use of mdadm and btrfs (both of these can be installed on any current linux system).  Once mounted, you can copy the data to other storage

If you can borrow a ReadyNAS running OS-6 firmware, then you can also power down that system, remove the disks (labeling them by slot), and then install one or both of yours.  (I'd use just one, just to get a bit more data safety).  Then power up the NAS, and the system should boot up with your configuration.  You can then offload your data.  This will work even with an x86 OS-6 NAS.

One caveat is that if the borrowed NAS is running newer firmware than you were, then your disks will be updated to use that firmware.  Which shouldn't be a problem, unless your firmware is very old.  Similarly, if the NAS is running older firmware than you were, then it will update its flash, and later on update your friend's disks when the they are reinserted.  Do you know what firmware you were running?
