Netgear ReadyNas 2100 upgrade
I'm trying to find the latest OS to patch some bugs/vulnerabilities. This model is V2 but EOL, no longer supported. I've upgraded firmware to RAIDiator 4.2.30, it's running OS is 2.6.37.6 RNx86_64.2.4. I can't find information if this is the latest OS. And is the OS upgraded separately form the firmware?

Re: Netgear ReadyNas 2100 upgrade
The OS/firmware is RAIDiator-x86 4.2.30 and that is the latest.
What you called the OS is actually the kernel. This is included in the firmware image.
You can run ReadyNAS OS6 on the v2 (but not on the v1). Installing this is not supported by NETGEAR and the upgrade from RAIDiator-x86 to ReadyNAS OS 6 does require a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything).
There are instructions in this long running thread: OS6 now works on x86 Legacy WARNING: NO NTGR SUPPORT!
