Hi All,
Trying a new install with RN212 and disillusioned at how poor the documents are and how complex a simple process has become. 3hrs in and the NAS still cant be discovered by ReadyCloud.
Macbook pro connected to switch. Wifi switched off
RN212 on the same switch
Power light solid
Act light flashes twice ever 4-5seconds
Drive 1 LED solid
Drive 2 empty
LAN is active
Network sees the drive
Too be honest i just dont know what to do next
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thanks
C

Re: New ReadyNas 212 install. Undiscoverable
Honestly, unless you need remote access, stear clear of ReadyCloud and use the local interface. It is quite unfortunaste (and, IMHO, short-sighted) that Netgear chose to produce documentation that points you in that direction even for local access where it is completely unnecessary. You don't need RAIDar if you know the IP address of the NAS, but it is a good little tool to keep an eye on the health of your NAS and get admin access quickly when you need it. While a NAS doesn't require a lot of "care and feeding", it's also not a "set and forget" item.
