Problem with Community support system

Where do I report problems with this system itself?

It is really anoying when you don't have a general support email fir things which don't fit in the boxes you classify 'support' into.

Like this Comminuty web site. No category for faults with it.

Hence I'm posting here.

Hi @Michael_Oz

What issues are you having on the Community? You can PM us moderators if you are having issues on the Community site or Contact Support or post on the appropriate product board if it's with your devices.

We're here to help and check on the issue you are having.

Regards

Good to know

How do you contact support?

I clicked 'support' at the top of the page, that asks you to select a product, not applicable in this case.

I clicked 'netgear' at the top of the page, then 'support' ditto.

Scroll to bottom, clicked 'contact us', under 'email us' there are email addresses for sales, press & investors, and a link 'Contact Customer Support' ->

None of which are ACTUALLY CONTACT WITH CUSTOMER SUPPORT, and not applicable in this case, I am not in need of product support.

So I give up and post this.

Yes, that part works.

Good to know, but 'feedback' was not what I was after.

Specifically I got an email, which clearly reflected a bug in the system & I wanted to report it. Which would be easy if I could forward it to a customer support email.

Hello ${recipient.login},

A reply to a topic you are following has been accepted as a solution!

Topic: ${thread.topicMessage.subject}
Author: ${thread.topicMessage.author.login} (${thread.topicMessage.author.ranking.name})
Date: 2019-02-03 01:25 PM

Hi @micheal_Oz

Have you set DNS on your NIC settings?

SMB Discover currently works with MacOS, Linux and NAS Platforms as indicated.

Hope this helps!

That is copy from html email & paste here.

The primary problem is obvious.

A secondary problem, as the issue is not fixed it should not be marked as a solution, so I go looking at the thread there does not appear to be a marked solution.

Understood, but you can report issues there also.

Re: Problem with Community support system

Hi @Michael_Oz

To contact support you can click on the following links you have posted depending on what you need (RMA, Presales inquiry, Tech Support assistance) and it should route you to another page on how you will contact Support either by Email, Chat or Phone. The best way to do this is to login to my.netgear.com and create a Support ticket to contact NETGEAR Support.

It is always good to remember that if you want to contact Support make sure your device is registered to your MyNETGEAR profile.

I sent you a PM as well regarding contacting Support.

Regards
