RN104 Snapshots don't save

I have a RN424 at work that does a daily RSYNC backup of modified files to a RN104 at home every evening. They are both configured similarily with the same Shares, Users, Services settings (SMB, HTTP, HTTPS, Rsync, ReadyDNLA).
The Snapshots at work are fine and reliable. But the Snapshots at home don't save. The Snapshot directorys exsist for each share and the shares are configured to take a daily Smart snapshot. But no snapshots are saved.
Even a manual snapshot fails - "Snapshot failed: Cannot create a new snapshot in the system. Failed to create a new snapshot."
I've tried deleting & recreating a share, but still no snapshot is saved. The is plenty of space on the RN104, only 40% full. Only one app installed, SMB Plus.
Before I do a factory reset and go through the process of recreating the setup on the RN104, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas I should try first.

The config is fixed now. Your NAS is now able to take snapshots.

May I know the current firmware version of your RN424?
Can you also try creating a test share and see if snapshot will still not work on that share?

Using the latest firmware - 6.10.3.

Have both deleted/recreate an existing share and created a new test share. Same reults, no snapshots.

You may download the complete system logs of your NAS then provide it to us. We will check what could be the cause of the issue. You can upload it to a file-sharing site then send me the download link via private message.

It looks like something is wrong with the snapper config on your NAS but we cannot really see it on the logs. Please enable the SDM (Secure Diagnostic Mode) on your NAS so we can further check the issue.
You can enable the SDM by logging in to the admin page then go to System > Settings> Support. Please send the 5-digit code via private message after enabling it.
