RN204 6TB hot-add expansion resync: ~90 DAYS?

I added a 4th 6TB HDD to what was intially a 3x6TB setup in my RN204.  I expected the rebuild to run into the weekend with a hot-add of that size... but checking the estimated resync time ~19 hours later shows that it has not even crossed the 1% threshold and the estimated remaining time is 90.4 days out.

 

This is a backup NAS (bulk storage/rsync target) for another mfgr's 8 bay so it wouldn't be out of the question to rebuild the array as a fresh new 4 disk array... but something else has to be going on here, right?

FWIW, the logs in the GUI are clean... with no errors related to the disk add.

Which services are you running?

 

Which apps are you running?

Surely you jest.  Did you click on it to expand it?  It should something look like this:

If the antivirus service is enabled, then disable it.

Could it be a symptom of a larger issue that I'm experiencing?

 

I'm remote from the NAS so I don't have physical access to it at home.  But I can VPN and open a support case if that's where this is going.

Perhaps clear your browser cache, and look one more time.

 

Something is very wrong if there are no services showing - so you should open a support case if you still see that.

I cleared cache and still had the same results viewing Services, I rebooted the RN204 and now I see a list of services.  AV is disabled.

 

The amount of time remaining has dropped to ~90 hours, which is more in line with what I'd expect for a 4x6TB rebalance.
