I can not find information is RN214 compatible with the EDA500 enclosure?
I found only information that the EDA500 fits the 300/500 series.
So, what can be connected to the esata port in the RN214 model?

Hi @t0mki
Welcome to the Community!
RN214's Max disk capacity is only 4 and no other option to add an expansion like the EDA500 which limits it capacity to only 48TB on 12TB disks, possibly because it only runs on ARM processor unlike other series (300/400/500/600/700) which are all x86 that will be able to handle higher capacity. Performance of the RN200 might be degraded if it handles a higher volume capacity or higher number of disks than it's intended to.
You can always connect eSATA external disks on the RN200 series model.
Hope this helps!

Re: RN214 compability with EDA500 ?
In summary: RN214 does not have a eSATA port multiplier .
So I can connect only 1 disk ?

No, it does not support the EDA500 (which is built around a eSATA port multiplier) mainly for perfromance reasons.
The eSATA port allows to connect an eSATA enclosure with a single disk.

Re: RN214 compability with EDA500 ?
And you do realize that the EDA500 is a discontinued product, right? I have found that other eSATA port multiplier enclosures are compatible with NASes compatible with the EDA500, though.
