RN21400 stuck in Booting mode for over 15 hours

Hi all
I bought this in 2018 and fitted 4 x 2tb WD RED drives.
All hasw been well until last night. I bought a 8tb backup drive for the NAS, but had to move it slightly to get access to the USB2 socket, so I logged on the config page and shut the nas down. I also had to unplug it as to fit a plugboard with more outlets.
After unplugging, I connected the usb drive and plugged the nas into the new socket board. However, the nas powered up without me having to press the front power button, and since then the display says "Booting", and I can't find it with RAIDar. This has been going on for 15 hours. All 4 disk lights indicate disks present, but I don't think there is any disk activity.
Any help would be very appreciated.
TIA

It sounds like you will need to forcibly power down.
I suggest powering up w/o the new USB drive.

Re: RN21400 stuck in Booting mode for over 15 hours
I suspect that the NAS might have been trying to boot from the USB drive.
Some drives have a small partition that has (optional) security software. So maybe connect the USB drive to a windows PC and run the windows disk manager. Then remove all the partitions (called "volumes" in the disk manager) and create a new partition. If you want NTFS, then format the drive in Windows. Otherwise reformat it in the NAS.
