RN426 Error "Incorrect vdev_list" when making a new volume
Hi
I have a new hard disk (WD RED , type WDC WD40EFRX) inserted in my NAS. It is a compatible hard drive.
But when I make a new volume with this disk, I get and errormessage saying that the selected hard drive cannot be found. Error message is "Incorrect vdev_list, Code: 14003010000"
Can anyone help ?
Thanks !

I suggest connecting the disk to a Windows PC (either with SATA or a USB adapter/dock), and testing the disk with WDC's Lifeguard software.

Re: RN426 Error "Incorrect vdev_list" when making a new volume
I found the solution ! The NAS was busy synchronizing a new disk with a existing disk (Raid 1). When this was done, it was possible for me to make a new volume.
Gives me a weird feeling, because disks 1 and 2 were synchronizing, and i would make a new volume on disk 5 !
But ok, problem solved !

Re: RN426 Error "Incorrect vdev_list" when making a new volume
Nothing to worry about. Sync can tie up a lot of resources, and two ongoing simultaneously could really tie things up, so it limits you to doing them sequentially. It would be nice if the error message was more informative.
