Hi!
Please help with updating the antivirus module on our ReadyNAS3220.
It is important - for some reason, the firmware update is working, but the anti-virus module update is not.
Frimware 6.10.7 Long-term-support
Internet connection worked
Last time, about 3 months ago, there was the same problem with antivirus, but after updating the firmware everything worked.
Now antivirus signatures have not been updated since March 8.
please help))
I understand that the life cycle of the product readyNAS 3220 has already been completed, but I would like to hear from an official representative of Netgear that antivirus signatures will no longer be updated to be sure that this is not my problem.

Ah, yes, that makes sense (in a senseless situation). If you have somebody who can provide you with the latest definitions, here is how to update them offline: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1280581/how-to-offline-update-clamav-database . I don't know if Netgear's license allows them to provide them or if they will choose to do so if it does.
The world certainly hopes this is a temporary condition.

Re: Ready NAS 3220- Antivirus scanner definition file update failed due to download failure
Hi @ARiazanov,
Thanks for the ping, @StephenB!
Could you provide us what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
A couple of things that you could do is to:
- Restart the antivirus if possible
- Restart the NAS if possible
- Run freshclam via SSH

This sounds like a problem at your end -- a firewall configuration issue.

I also thought so, but the firewall was checked, in addition, the update of the firmware netgear itself was successful.
The obvious problem is that the ClamAV belongs to Cisco, which disconnected the Russian segment from its services.
p.s. by the way - I am categorically against the war with Ukraine and do not support the Russian government in this matter.
