I just got a ReadyNAS 102 from a friend. I want to get two 8 TB drives and run a mirror RAID 1 for a total of 8 TB of usable data.
The documentation isn’t clear. Will it operate properly with two 8TB drives?

Welcome to the Community!
The answer is YES, it can even use 16TB HDDs which are I think the largest cap to date.
Under the ReadyNAS HCL, Drives that has been tested to run with RN102 are listed.
