ReadyNas 2100 and SSD drives

Hello

I have a couple of questions regarding ReadyNas 2010 box:

1. Does this box supports SSD hard drives ?
2. Are both ethernet ports capable of gigabit speed ?
3. Is it possible to allocate 2 drives for iSCSI and 2 drives for ordinary NAS access ?

Sincerely

Re: ReadyNas 2100 and SSD drives

1. There are no SSDs on the compatibility list for any ReadyNAS. They may or may not work.
2. Yes, however you're not going to saturate those ports. You'll need a faster ReadyNAS if you want to do this. Take a look at ReadyNAS Performance Expectations
3. You can, but I wouldn't go that way about it. I'd create a default X-RAID volume. Then create your targets e.g. 2TB in total. That 2TB in total would be files created on your volume and hence used by iSCSI. The rest of your volume would be available to be filled by other stuff. You can add more iSCSI targets, LUNS, etc. later if you wish.
