Readynas 500 series
It looks like the new devices powered by the new operating system 6 like the readynas 500 series has less features and capabilities. It also looks like netgears new business model includes charging for apps that were free with the old platform. Am I missing the mark? Are the apps in the genie.netgear.com site built by netgear or supported by the community?

Re: Readynas 500 series
It also appears that most apps in the genie.netgear.com site are not supported by the new readynas platforms like the 500

Re: Readynas 500 series
What features that you want are missing?
Community developers are hard at work on some apps a number of which are already finished.
There would be a mixture of NetGear, partner and community developer apps available.
A large proportion of apps would likely be sold for a fee in the Genie Marketplace.

Re: Readynas 500 series
ReadyNAS OS 6 has much more features built-in (Replicate, Plex, etc.) and the genie apps community will create additional value. The genie apps as pointed out by mdgm will be from Netgear, 3rd party commercial apps, and community members. Each can decide if they app should have a price or should be free.
