Replacement fan for ReadyNas 600

I need to find a replacement fan for the readynas 600, as the one inside has gotten loud.

The original fan was a Jun Yih Shyang Ent. Co. Ltd jhd-03009a12, which I can't find anywhere.

An apparent replacement is a Sirverstone FX-121 series which is no longer made (I called Silverstone) and I can't find anyone that has leftover supply.

Does anyone have any idea where a suitable replacement/substitute can be found?

Some useful links:

Silverstone FX121 on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835220002

JHD-0300 series specs/exterior engineering drawings: https://www.scat-technology.ru/docs/catalogues/fans/crossflow_fans.pdf

I know the 600 is old but is completely functional (after a couple of fan and power supply replacements!)

Thanks

Re: Replacement fan for ReadyNas 600

Not sure about which 3rd party fan replacements are available for the Infrant ReadyNAS 600, but considering the age of the ReadyNAS 600 (you've probably had it over 10 years) it might be about time to consider getting a new ReadyNAS.

Re: Replacement fan for ReadyNas 600

I have had it over 10 years, and it continues to serve its purpose perfectly fine. I don't really need a new one for what I use it for.

I do also have an 18TB Pro6 dedicated to offline tivo storage. Thats alot of TV!

But thanks for reading.

For now its working with the crossflow unplugged disks at 114, cover off.

Still would like to find a substitute fan for the original.

Re: Replacement fan for ReadyNas 600

I've never owned a 600, but am wondering if this would fit:  http://www.amazon.com/Dyantron%C2%AE-CF-003-Crossflow-Servers-Enclosures/dp/B009SEN4Q6

It's 5 mm longer, and is noisier.  It has a 3-pin connector.

Re: Replacement fan for ReadyNas 600

It looks like this would work assuming the extra 5mm is split equally on both sides of the length.  If its all on the left, it might be a tight fit.

Assuming of course the screw holes line up.  (I would assume its a standard.)

The original does have a 3 pin connector, so that is probably fine.

The other big question is if the cord is long enough.

Thanks.
