Re: Upgrade RAM in ReadyNAS 626X

I'm contemplating upgrading the RAM in my ReadyNAS 626X from 8GB. Right now, system stats are showing the RAM usage to be somewhere just below 40% at baseline, and I'd like to eke as much performance as possible out of this unit.
So, what are the recommended RAM specs for the 626X? Anyone have any experience ugprading the RAM to 16GB — or more, given that the D-1521 CPU can apparently take up to 128GB? If so, which sticks did you use?
I should note that it looks like this topic was addressed in this thread, but that was close to three years ago. Availability of the proposed RAM, Samsung M391A1G43DB0‑CPB, is pretty limited and is $100+ per stick.
That's kind of why I'm looking for alternatives. This module from Hynix looks like it might be compatible, for example, and the price ($60 for 16GB, $120 for 32GB) is great. But maybe I'm missing something.

The M391A1G43DB0 is an 8 GB module, the M393A2G40DB0 is a 16 GB module. Since the NAS is supposed to support up to 64 GB total, 16 GB modules should work ( https://community.netgear.com/t5/New-ReadyNAS-Users-General/528x-ram-memory-upgrades/m-p/1410769#M17... )
But I haven't tried it (and have an RN526x with stock memory installed).

I believe the limit for the RN626x is 64 GB.
The NAS ships with ECC memory, but your Hynix module is non-ECC.

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-M393A2G40DB0-Memory-Module-M393A2G40DB0-CPB/dp/B00MDZLWMA has it for less than that (actually less than the Hynix module).

Good catch about the ECC, but that Samsung module is a different part number: M393A2G40DB0-CPB versus M391A1G43DB0‑CPB. Will it sill work?
