Is there any recommendation which SFP+ modules are supported by the 4312S out of the box? Does it have to be a Netgear module or could it be any manufacturer?
For the 4312 model of ReadyNAS, we would suggest AXM764 and AXM765. It is a Netgear manufacturer and we could find the 10Gbps LAN Optical SFP+ only in the datasheet of the NAS device model.
Since Netgear manufactures this it would be a better option to pick any one of these two (AXM764, AXM765 ) for better compatibility.
