Why does my ReadyNAS NV+ v1 (RND4000 v3) see 750gb WD30EZRX

Hi All,
This is my first post on this forum so please be kind!
I've just got my self a NV+ v1 (RND4000 v3) and recently added 4 x WD30EZRX (3TB drives)

My issue is simply that only 750gb of the 3 TB drives is being recognised by the ReadyNAS device!? is this right? can any one please let me know what I'm missing here and how I can access the remainder of the storage capacity in these drives.

Here is what I see when I look at the ReadyNAS NV+ frontview Home screen

Model: ReadyNAS NV+ [X-RAID]
Serial: 23J5157X0010C
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.13 [1.00a043]
Memory: 256 MB [2.5-3-3-7]

Volume C: Online, X-RAID, 4 disks, 0% of 2215 GB used

and from the Volume Settings screen:

Ch 1 : WDC WD30EZRX-00SPEB0 [746 GB] 742 GB allocated
Ch 2 : WDC WD30EZRX-00SPEB0 [746 GB] 742 GB allocated
Ch 3 : WDC WD30EZRX-00SPEB0 [746 GB] 742 GB allocated
Ch 4 : WDC WD30EZRX-00SPEB0 [746 GB] 742 GB allocated

Any help and advise would be greatly appreciated!

Did you just update the firmware after installing the disks? That sounds like an old firmware issue. Since you have no data on the disks yet, I'd try a factory default now that 4.1.13 is on the system.

You can do this in FrontView under System>Update>Factory Default. Or by the boot menu: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... v_nv_x6600

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've just done a Factory Default Reset. With no change:(

The NV+ (v1) does not have GPT support. 2TB disks are the max supported. What you are seeing is a known limitation.

Do you guys know if there will be any chance that they will release GPT support any time soon. Or if there is a way to get to work?

The product is EOL and has been for a long time now. They will not add new features like GPT support (if it is even possible).

Thanks, I thought I would ask just in case there was a chance that some one had done it.
