Re: rndu6000 how do I re-install RAIDar on a new computer Linux Ubuntu
RAIDar has no effect on data loss, it is never on the NAS itself.
You can find the download for Linux here: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/~/readynas-downloads#raidar

Re: rndu6000 how do I re-install RAIDar on a new computer Linux Ubuntu
HI StehenB
Thank you for the prompt respons.
I am steel learning about Linux ,Ubuntu.
After I added the app ( For RAIDar 6.1 for Ubuntu, add ppa:netgear-inc/ppa.) to the "Ubuntu software",and check that it was there. I open Software Centre it but I could not find the RAIDar entry to down load.
What did I do wrong.
Thank for your help

Re: rndu6000 how do I re-install RAIDar on a new computer Linux Ubuntu
Hi Ferruccio,
Unfortunately I am not an Ubuntu user but checking the link I think there are specific steps for certain Ubuntu versions. You could probably try to double check which step applies to your version.
You can also try the lower version for the meantime.

Re: rndu6000 how do I re-install RAIDar on a new computer Linux Ubuntu
An alternative way for Ubuntu users to install applications is with the deb files:
https://www.readynas.com/download/RAIDar/raidar_6.1-1.1_amd64.deb
You can just run the deb file and Ubuntu should run the installation magic for you. 🙂
