ssh-addon broken?
just bought a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 from amazon.
i installed the ssh plugin (needed a reboot). i managed to login or twice, but I didn't do anything. I just cd'ed into a few directories and ls'ed to see what's in there.
the ssh plugin never showed up in the "installed add-ons" section, and also now, a week later or so I try to login again but it just logs me out automatically without me doing anything.
see:
i tried reinstalling the plugin, but that doesn't help anything 😞

Re: ssh-addon broken?
The SSH user is 'root' (the superuser) not 'admin'
There's no need for a UI for this add-on as the superuser can change any setting via the command line.

Re: ssh-addon broken?
d'oh. after trying as root, it works right away.... thanks.
however i found the ssh add-on not showing up in the list of installed add-ons very confusing, this looks like a bug.
also the fact that when you ssh as admin it sets up a ssh session and then closes it right away, is quite weird.

Re: ssh-addon broken?
It's not a bug. It's by design. There are no options for SSH that need to be configured by a web-admin Ui and hence there isn't one.
The behaviour for the admin user is not weird at all. It recognises that the correct password is used then notices that the admin user doesn't have permission to SSH in and closes the connection immediately.
