whant to buy but should I

I whant to know is this product fully usable by end user
I would like to be able to add my own webpages and flash player ect
be able to use it as a web server /media server

or would I be best to use a separate
website server that i host my self and link back to the NETGEAR ReadyNAS 2000 x2 bay
need your input

Re: whant to buy but should I

Of course it's usable. You can use it as a web server, but if you want a faster one, get one of the newer nases not the old sparc versions. They work but are a bit slow on that end and if your line is too then you're going to bog things down a bit. I use the squeeze server on it and love listening to my music from it. I got an old sparc version myself. I think the two bay is still a sparc chip no intel chip which I believe the newer versions are. Funny how they still sell the sparc version but you can't use a 3 terabyte drive, you can only use 2T drives at the moment.
