Finally got my Readynas 422 and the disks: 2 HGST Ultrastar He10 HUH721010ALE600, but when trying to install the disks the holes don't align with the nobs on the disk tray brackets.
The question is should I sand off or clip the nobs?

Marc,
Thanks for the answer.
I managed to use the inserts, it was a tight fit but at the end working fine.

Re: Align disks to disk tray
Hi @ggmasluka
It is the same with the Seagate Ironwolf HDDs wherein the tool less bracket does not fit due to the alignment and new design of mounting holes.
As a workaround, you can use the provided screws on your NAS and removing the plastic bracket to mount the HDD on the bottom part of the drive tray.
Here is a download link for the guide on using the bottom plate to mount the disks. (Link is valid for 7 days only)
Newer design disk trays are not yet available as a replacement but it is currently being worked on so Support will be able to provide to customers with registered devices. But the older trays will still be able to mount the drives by using the bottom part of the tray.
Hope this helps!
Regards
