Duplictate login with win 10 using file manager with rn-316

I have created a couple of home accounts for the different clients I have.

I was going to use them just for backups from desktops/laptops.

I can access and create them with ftp.

However I can't access them using one computer for all accounts.

I keep getting the error that it does not support multiple account logins.

How do I logoff with win10 in file manager so I can login to another home folder.?

As you perhaps know, this is a windows restriction for SMB access, and not an issue in the NAS.

One thing you can do is run CMD and enter net use * /delete

One trick here is that Windows treats the hostname and the IP address as different machines, so if you access by IP address you can use a different credential without disrupting an existing connection that uses hostname.

When you say cmd!

Do you mean run command.com from the desktop?

Re: Duplictate login with win 10 using file manager with rn-316

I ran it from the command line in the desktop.

It states no users in the list.

The name of the nas is readynas

The home folder is HOMEBOY3

I have tried selecting the icon in file manager and I have tried typing it as \\readynas\HOMEBOY3

I get a prompt to login which I do, But I still get not accessible.,Multiple connections not allowed.

If you enter CMD in the windows search bar it will launch a console window (the same as you'd get when you enter/launch command).

Ok.

Try running CMD again and enter

net use * /delete

net use t: \\nas-ip-address\HOMEBOY3 /user:HOMEBOY3 HOMEBOY3-Password

Use the actual IP address (and HOMEBOY3 password).  Also if username HOMEBOY3 actually has some lower case (e.g., HomeBoy3), then make sure you use match the case that you used when you created the NAS account.

The second command attempts to mount the home folder as drive letter t.
