Please Help
Hello, I am working for a local governement and we have a ReadyNAS1100 RNR4000 that will not power on and it is out of service warranty/replacement. However, I would like to know what our options are for keeping the data that is stored on the drives? Is it possible to buy a newer ReadyNAS product, swap out the internal USB, and drives and get our unit up and working again? I know that the disks where configured in a RAID so the order of the disks need to stay the same. If swapping out hardware is not possible, is there a way to pull the data off of the drives?
Thank you for any and all help!
Jon

Re: Please Help
Call in our support - we will rma the chassis - you keep the drives just send back the chassis and the new chassis will boot up with the data. The tech will just have to make sure the chassis is the problem and not the drives - dont worry the process doesnt hurt your data

Re: Please Help
If its out of warranty, wonder how far you will get with support.
The config is all on the disks, no need to touch the internal USB key.
