I have a ReadyNAS 628X on order. One of the uses I have planned is to record video surveillance using PoE cameras. I already own a PoE switch.
1. Is the Miles Arcus software included with the NAS?
2. Would you recommend using the Miles Arcus software?
3. Do you install that software on the NAS or on a network computer?
4. Will the software work with any brand of PoE camera?
5. Are there charges for the software or for the number of cameras you use?
6. Are the charges recurring or one time?
7. Can you set the cameras to only record when motion is detected or do they have to record continuously?
Thanks. I'm obviously very new to the whole NAS world.
