Time Problem
Hey,
i've got a ReadyNAS 516. It works like a charme... Except one annoying problem
First of all i Use Windows 7 64 Bit and have mapped the shared folder from the NAS as drive X:\
This is where i save all my music/pics and stuff.
The problem is the time... When i copy any file from my pc to the drive X:\... the time in the windows explorer is completely wrong.
Same problem when i create files directly on X:\...
I have set the correct time in the NAS admin-menu. Also it shows the right time there.
The time on my PC is also correct.
Is there anything else where i have to set the time?
I'm thankful for every single tip 🙂
And sorry for my english - they don't really teach us that here in austria 🙂

Re: Time Problem
How far off is the time you are seeing?
Also, can you confirm that you are using the right time zone on both the NAS and the PC?

Re: Time Problem
Hello fankalfr,
Welcome to the community!
Are the date and time settings of both ReadyNAS and Windows machine synchronized? May we also ask for the FW version of the ReadyNAS?
Regards,

Re: Time Problem
Exactly 9 hours ahead.
I made a new Textdocument, Windows Explorer is showing 22:14
The time on the ReadyNAS and PC is 13:14
So its exactly 9 hours ahead

Re: Time Problem
Hello JennC,
Date and Time of PC and ReadyNAS are both the same. Also Timezone is the same.
Firmware of the ReadyNAS = 6.2.2
Thanks!
Regards
Alfred

Re: Time Problem
It still sounds like a timezone problem of some sort. The NAS is set to GMT+1 (Vienna)??? Are you using Netgear's time servers?
