Access Block Devive Doesnt WORK !! R8500

I have the latest firmware on my router.

If I block a device ,it does NOT block it full time. Intermittently it is allowed  for about 3 minutes. Long enough to cause IP CONFLICT to popup.

One would think block means block all the time,NOT RANDOM BLOCKING

I just purchased a 6400 and the Access Control feature only allows me to block access to the internet.  Devices can still connect to me network.  That's a major issue for me.  I decided to return it.

@dalepbaker Try to reflash the firmware, reset and then reconfigure the router.

What kind of device are you trying to block?

Did you also try downgrading the firmware to see whether if it will exhibit the same issue?

I have done everything thing suggested. It allows blocked device to have internet access 3 minutes of every 30 minutes.

Need to fix with a secure firmware. Block means 100 percent BLOCK all the time. Never allowing any access

@dalepbaker I'm unable to replicate the problem. Mine is totally blocked when Parental Control is enabled.

If this is within the warranty period, get a replacement.

Edit: I have also blocked the device and it's blocked the whole time.

I have a 7000, that blocks hard line but dose not block wrls devices as in wrls Xbox connection. I can block the device, it shows discoed but I can walk in my sons room an he's still connected,the whole reason for buying this unit is so I can control this, what gives ?????
