Admin Password Reset - Nighthawk App

R7000 is working, but somehow Nighthawk app is requiring login with admin credentials and "admin" and "password" produce incorrect login credentials message. Tried routerlogin.net path, clicked cancel, entered SN when prompted but clicking "continue" does nothing. Double and triple checked for typos to no avail. AC1900 smart wi-fi router, model R7000

    Somehow you shoud use the same admin password as it's in use for the Web based login on routerlogin.net ...

    Not a secret: If the password recovery was not configured before, it's not workable.

      Ok, however I never changed my admin password from the default and all was well a couple of weeks ago with accessing router settings from the Nighthwk app.  We did have a 3-day internet outage recently due to storms (xfinity/comcast) FWIW.

       

      I'll just proceed with a factory default reset.

       

      Stumped in Michigan...
