Which app? iOS or Android?

How are you going about this and what happens when you try?

I have the Nighthawk app on an Android phone. I open the app while in the wifi of the router and go to settings then Anywhere Access and Enable Anywhere Access. After a while I get message something went wrong. I have retried many times on different days. Others have reported same problem with different Nighthawk routers. They believe it is a problem in the firmware.

Does the Android app work apart from Anywhere Access?

In theory, Anywhere Access gets turned on by default:

Note the bit about managing a router with Anywhere Access.

If you find that Anywhere Access is not enabled, you could try a "factory reset".

Bit of a nuisance. You can backup your settings – always a good idea anyway – before you try that. Just in case it fails and you want to restore the settings.

Yes, other than Anywhere Access the App works fine.

I've similar issue with my RAX48 router after latest router firmware upgrade (V1.0.11.112} and everything else seems to be working ok.   I can't seem to make it enable anymore.

Yes. The Android app seems to be having another bout of "coding covid".

About a month back they fixed a previous bug. It took a month for that to happen.

But that fix then went and broke the iOS version. You can't win.

Re: Anywhere Access "Something went wrong" R6700V3

I just downgraded my router to prior firmware version (v1.0.10.110) and my Andriod app (v2.21.1.2602) was able to connect with "Anywhere access".
I've also "Disabled" the option for the "Router Auto Firmware Option" in the "Router Update" page in "Advanced -> Administration" page.

I think, something wrong with latest router firmware version (V1.0.11.112) as I don't want this firmware to screw me up again.

Better wait for an update.
