C7800, can’t connect to Nighthawk App
Just bought this cable modem/router combo and am having trouble with the Nighthawk app on iOS. It keeps asking me to update firmware but it’s already running latest version.

Ah. That one. The message is nonsense. You cannot update the firmware on a cable modem/router. That is down to the ISP.
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.
