D6200 and Netgear Genie Version

When I log in to the router, it brings up Netgear Genie. There is no location that I can see to check what version of Netgear Genie that I have. There is also no way to have it check for a Netgear Genie update.

Netgear Genie does not show up in the Programs and Features of the Windows 7 Control Panel, so you can't uninstall it.

I not longer remember when I installed the D6200, if it asked anything about the Netgear Genie. I am running the latest version of the D6200 firmware.

So is this Netgear Genie strictly on the router/gateway?

  • Router firmware has Genie logo etc but been router you refer to firmware and not application.

Actual installed on computer is only application of Genie to communicate with router that supports genie. Far as uninstall, if not show under add/remove application then try download ccleaner and see if you can uninstall or Revo uninstaller
