How to access the wifi router from remote
Hello,
I have a camera app at my phone where I can login and check my surveillance cameras at home. However, sometimes my homenetwork resets the ip address and if i am not at home to check my new ip address I cannot know what is the new ip address to use and login to check my cameras in the app at phone.
Sometimes I travel and I try to check the cameras and the connection fails because the ip address at home has changed.
I found this article but I am still waiting for the e mail by netgera!:
Also, in the article, step 3:
- Click on Router Settings and select Remote Access for Login as.
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REMOTE ACCESS for login!!
Is there any other way???
Please help
P.S. I have a WNDR4300-N750 router.
- In the meantime what if Netgear acts more professionally and send me the **bleep** e mail for verification?

I suggest you to Google this. You can do several ways to do it and it is not easy here to explain everything and guide you the steps you have to perform. This way you learn something... If you tried and need help along the way, help is readily available. Also smallnetbuilder forum is good place to visit. There are many pro expert there. Good questions will yield good answers always, right? Are you wondering
about SSH method?

Thanks - dksellouTutorIn the meantime what if Netgear acts more professionally and send me the **bleep** e mail for verification?

In the mean time I think there is a Genie app. for remote access. Think it works with on some routers only.
- dksellouTutorIf you read my post you would click on the article which is about Genie app.... Lol

I just checked Youtube, quite a few related stuffs there as well. Genie app is no good for your router then? There is some thread in the
Netgear support FAQ too.
- dksellouTutorIt is supported.
- dksellouTutorIt is funny that you said first about good questions and good answers......
