How to reset Network Genie

I haven't been able to get into Network Genie to update my router, nor make changes. I can't recall my password, and I can't change the log in name - it is set at admin

 

How do I rectify this so I can make an update?

 

I have reset the router - uninstalled and re-installed Genie   N ow what?

    Which Netgear genie is this? Desktop? (Windows/Mac?) Mobile (Android/Apple?)

     

    If it is the desktop app, is this a wired (LAN) connection or over wifi?

    The password is for the router, not the app. As you have reset the router, it is now back at the default password.

     

    You could try the browser interface to control your router.

     

    It would also help if you told us what router this is. You may have given the forum this information, but it has not passed it on to the rest of us.
