Minor bugs with Network Map

With 3 PCs in my network, I had to connect two of the via ethernet to test remote connection.  After doing so, I looked at the Genie Network Map to see the connections -- to do this is clicked on each PC to bring up the details panel.  Machine 1 that I'm running Genie on says only "Online" and did not indicate that it was ethernet connected.  Machine 2 also on ethernet indicated "Wired".  Machine 3 should have said "Wireless", but it also report "Wired".  When I reconnected Machine 1 (Genie) via wifi, it continues to say only "Online" (not very informative at all) and the Machine 3 now apparently correctly displays "Wireless" .  Machine 2 continues to correctly display "Wired".

This part is important.  The above report is on the standalone Windows Genie app.  In the Network Map of the Genie app, I can click on my Netgear router (10.0.0.1) which asks for my router id/pw and then opens a browser  (Chrome) window with a new session of Genie that is more complex including two tabs for Basic and Advanced.  This Genie implementation does not have the network map, but instead has a left side option for "Attached Devices".  This pretty much always displays in table format the same info as the Network Map displays.  But the Attached Devices table has the connections of each device correctly identified as "Wired" or "Wireless" regardless of how the Genie machine is connected.

Re: Minor bugs with Network Map

Hi @richlife69,

I recommend clicking on the refresh icon the Network Map window located on the top right then checking if the information on the devices that are connected are correct. It may take some time for the program to map the network completely and may not initially show all the details. The Attached Devices on the device UI will show you a more accurate information if you need it immediately. Also, thank you for providing your feedback on this as well as your input on your other post as we continue to improve on this feature of the product.
