Netgear Nighthawk App 2022 - no Guest Wifi option?
Hello, All,
Have a new AX1800 wifi router. Have the latest Netgear Nighthawk app, but for some reason, I don't have the option to manage my guest networks from the app. I did set up the router as an access point -- as it is behind the cable modem upstairs, but I don't see that as having anything to do with it.
I'm able to manage the guest networks from the router's web interface, but this app does not have that same option. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Richard

Best use the model number. (R6700AX). AX1800 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.
What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

It has everything to do with it.

If you want to enable and control the guest network on the R6700AX you would do better to work out how to put your unnamed cable modem – which from what you say is probably a modem/router – into bridge (modem only) mode.
