Sign in where?
Which Netgear device are you using?
When I try on the app nothing happens it just stays on the sign in page. Yes, I’m using the correct password.
First you have to sign into the local WiFi. Done that?
Then you can get into the router itself.

Android? iOS?
Any useful messages when you try?
Tried removing and reinstalling the app?
The CAX80 should be app friendly out of the box. But you might want to check that it has the latest firmware.
What firmware version do you have on the router bit of this modem/router?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
While many questions about routers are generic and could be answered anywhere, some things need specialist knowledge.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Cable Modems & Routers
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.
