Nighthawk app VERY slow to respond

Ever since I recently updated the NIGHTHAWK app (, it has been connecting VERY slowly to my R6900P router (firmware V1.3.2.134_10.1.66). I have to wait about 2 minutes before connecting, which used to occur in 2 seconds. I also have to wait 2 minutes for loading anything that I do on the app, such as looking at the device manager. When I click on the router, it eventually returns, “Something went wrong. Sorry about this. Please try again.”

I have rebooted the router both through the app and by unplugging for 30 seconds to no avail.

Internet speeds seem OK.
Anyone else having the same or similar issues?
