Hi @ashutosh22,
1. Please make sure that you have completely disabled/disconnected your separate OpenDNS account from your connected if you have one.
2. Apps are cannot be filtered by LPC since it only works on browsers.
3. Does the issue persist on all devices?

Re: Parent control not working (not blocking anything)
Can I jump on this thread since my issue is the same/similar.
Right now I'm completely unable in 2017 AD to find working software that lets me block my children's access to certin websites. This is simply unbelievable.
I recently bought an N300 WNR2000v5. After finally getting so-called Parental Controls turned on and downloading some software (thank you to Netgear support), the only features really available to me is to block my kids' computers all-or-nothing and generally filter out adult sites. I want to be able to list specific sites. I've tried adding some like youtube.com and wikipedia.org but it has absolutely no effect at all. What's going on? This seems totally basic.
(Also, I was using OpenDNS separately for a few years but that stopped working entirely. They say it's because I switched all my computers to use IPv6 which I did not, but apparently their stuff doesn't work if that happens. Also, I recently got this new "cheap" router because the $150 ASUS router I was using became completely inoperable with my xfinity cable modem.
Please advise.

Re: Parent control not working (not blocking anything)
Let me amend that previous post. I tried blocking huffingtonpost.com and that worked. ?

Hi @nuncvideo,
Did you use the Blacklist/Whitelist option via netgear.opendns.com?

Re: Parent control not working (not blocking anything)
Thanks for the reply Dexter.
I couldn't find the blacklist/whitelist option (UI completely changed from what I'm used to) but just as I was responding I decided to click around the netgear opendns site more aggressively and I finally found it! Thank you.
(I'd humbly submit that the UI is sorta broken. The whitelist/blacklist option needs to be on the main filtering page not "Account Settings"!!!
Thanks. I'll see if it works.

Re: Parent control not working (not blocking anything)
Hi @kd630,
1. What is the firmware version of the R8500?
2. Does the issue persist on all your devices?
3. Please try changing the filtering level and check if the issue will still persist.
4. Have you tried resetting the router?

Dexter
