R7000 and parental controls

I have tried setting up the DNS to block websites to my son's computer. I have tried blacklisting sites.  I have tried setting the security level to the maximum.  NOTHING has worked consistently.  What am I doing wrong?  I've read post after post about the same thing, and there doesn't seem to be a solution.  I may have to get a new router.

Do you mean OpenDNS?

You may have to explain what is happening in a bit more detail.

"NOTHING has worked consistently." doesn't really provide enough information to allow informed diagnosis.
