R7000 unable to reset password

[YCC]

connected the mobile phone to wifi, open the nighthawk app, it ask me to sign in,

the name is defauleted as "admin" and I cannot change it

Tried to reset password, input the serial no. but unable to press "continue"

any help?

Perfectly normal, the router requires some authenication ...

...password recovery either not configured, a router firmware bug, or a browser compatibility issue. The KB entry How do I reset the admin password on my NETGEAR router? says it works with select browsers only, except of Safari.

Permitting you have any config data required to access the Internet (e.g. encapsulation, username, password) at hand, use the reset button How do I perform a factory reset on my NETGEAR router?
