R7960P 2.4ghz slow
I recently upgraded internet speed to 400mbps from 100mbps. Immediately had great results with 5ghz reaching 400+speeds. However 2.4ghz actually became slower than before I upgraded. Speedtest.net showed avg speed of 55-75 mpbs with 400mbps upgrade. Is that normal or should speed be higher for 2.4? Spectrum said line connection is fine so must be the router. I rely on the 2.4 for security system cameras. Firmware is updated as of 05/13/2021.

2.4ghz is a slow network.
what speeds were you getting before?
Have you tried changing wireless channels in case there's interference?

2.4 is also set to manage up to 300mbps…not sure if that is relevant.
That has not much to do with the speeds you will get on 2.4 GHz.
It might be worth a bit of background reading.

Re: R7960P 2.4ghz slow
What wireless device are you using to speed test with on 2.4Ghz?
Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update on the router?
Is 20/40Mhz Coexistence enabled or disabled?
