R8500 unable to register

Hello,

 

I am trying to setup up remote access. Both the Genie iOs app fail and Genie Windows app.  The iOs app says "This router does not support remote access", the genie app on windows asks if I would like to register, but then fails with "The registration process failed, Try again".

Looking around at the forums seems only NetGear support can fix this.  Please help.

make sure you have the latest firmware version

Running V1.0.2.86_1.0.75

 

Any other suggestions?

Are u trying to register the product or register remote genie (for remote access)?
you can go to my.netgear.com for product registration if you still cant do it on Genie
