If it was changed, it won't be the default.
To get back to the dafault password, you'd need to factory reset.
push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while its powered up.
Then you can re-install it.

FYI, the firmware is not user updateable. It has to be pushed by the isp and they rarely update firmware on 3rd party devices.
