Verification email is not the same as login email.

When I sign in to the mobile app it wants me to verify through an old email... an email I changed on my account a while back because it was a school email and the school deleted it. It doesn't show this email anywhere listed in my account, only lists it as the only verification email when I try to login through the app. Wishing there was a support line I could call as this would be a simple fix.

Sign into what and with which mobile app?

Netgear makes life interesting by having all manner of passwords. There is the one into the router's controls, then there are those to get into the router's wifi, and then there any that you use to get into this Community and/or My Netgear.

Different passwords pop up at different times, depending on how you connect to the device and where you are trying to access from, your local network or somewhere else on the Internet. (That's now called Anywhere Access, previously Remote Access.)

It might help if you explained what you are trying to do that needs you to sign into something. Knowing what bit of Netgear hardware you have might also be useful.

The “Nighthawk” app for IOS. I sign in using my log in info, the same info I use to log in here on this website, and it brings me to a screen to “verify email address.” The only email listen that it allows me to select is an email I no long own that is in no way associated with my account. I have a R7800 or something? I used to be able to open the app to see connections on my network or update the router.

These are not always the same thing. My own login here uses a different email address from the other things I do with Netgear. For example, I have a different address for MyNetgear. Are you registered there?

If you login to mynetgear, can you see your router there?

        MyNETGEAR | Login

Many of these add-on services and features depend on having the hardware registered there.

Logging in here and on MyNetgear are not always related to things like Anywhere Access, Parental Controls and ReadyCLOUD.

I use the Android app to get into an R7800. I have several ways in. The first thing I have to do is to connect to the local wifi. When I have done that, the Nighthawk App offers either a local link to the router or Anywhere Access over the Internet.

How do I enable or disable Anywhere Access on my router using the Nighthawk app? | Answer | NETGEAR ...

At some stage, I am also asked to enter the password that my routers (I have several) need to let me in. These are the same passwords and username (admin) that I have to enter when I connect to the router with a browser.

I'm afraid I do not understand this bit:

I can't follow what happens there. (I assume it should be listed.)

Are you saying that you are not allowed to type in the email address you want to use? It insists on using an email address that it offers?

Here I can happily paste in the username (email address) and password.

Maybe there is something amiss with the iOS app, but the bottom line is that this is a multiple step process, with passwords that can pop up at different stages. Without knowing where you are in the process it isn't easy to diagnose what is going wrong.
