Vuezone App - iOS Update Desperately Needed!
Is Netgear seriously not going to update its VueZone app for iOS? Like never? Because it's been over a year since the app stopped working on my iPhone and I honestly cannot believe the company would simply abandon its long-time loyal customers like this. This is truly outrageous, particularly while we are still being charged a yearly fee in excess of $100 for their "Elite" online VueZone service.
To be clear, I am a long (long!) time supporter of the company and user of many Netgear products including all types of switches, hubs, routers, etc. I'm also a long-time Shareholder in the company, because that's how much I've always believed in the products. I fully invested in the VueZone system -- i.e., basestation, maxed-out 15 add-on cameras, numerous casings, mounts and adapters, etc. -- all of which still work perfectly, and all of which have been rendered obsolete and virtually useless by the fact that I can no longer view the cameras from my iPhone or iPad, etc. Had I known that Netgear would so blatantly abdicate its support obligations to its loyal customers like this, I NEVER would have purchased this product.
I mean seriously, even those "Candy Crush" people somehow manage to upload a patch or update like once every week or so -- on an app I downloaded for free, no less -- but an industry giant like Netgear can't be bothered to upload a critically needed update for a product I spent thousands of dollars on and am still being charged $100+ per/year for their "elite" online service? Shame on you, Netgear. You should be genuinely embarassed by this. And as a long-time user, consumer, subscriber and shareholder, etc., you can bet I'll be looking into the individuals responsible for this decision...
