WNDR3400 and Netgear Genie

Can someone please explain to me why NetGear Genie doesn't connect to my NetGear WNDR3400?

I am assuming I enter the same password as I do when logging on via the older internet-based interface? (Although I have tried using just the standard password, too, with no luck.) Genie always tells me it failed to log in and the connection timed out.

Any help out there, please?

Are connecting by ip address? if not try that.

Well I was connecting wirelessly via my Android. Is it not supposed to pick it up?

And where do I find the IP address?

When you get the login tab in genie, ther is a check box "enter routers IP address manually".

Check that to enter IP.

Look at bottom of the router.

Since you are asking you likely to have V1.. V1 only will NOT have V# after the model on the bottom of the router

And V1 doesn't work with Netgear Genie...
