phone app problem

I have had an XR700 for about a year now.  The device manager has never worked on my phone.  I get the error message "sorry, the action was failed please try again"  the app and the router are both up to date .  It looks like a pretty common problem.  Is there any kind of resolution?

May you reinstall the Nighthawk app and power cycle your router.
