"Some error occurred while enabling/disabling Anywhere access"

My Nighthawk app does not let me activate Anywhere access. It comes up with the message "some error occurred while enabling/disabling Anywhere access".

I updated  router to latest firmware V1.1.7.134. My model number is MR 60. Any help is appreciated.

Re: "Some error occurred while enabling/disabling Anywhere access"

Do you use any special characters in the Password of you account or the MRs web page log in?

Does this work any?

Re: "Some error occurred while enabling/disabling Anywhere access"

Thanks @FURRYe38 . Yes, I use special character in password. I am just curious how that could be a problem in my router not showing when I try to access it away from place it is located?

Using local wifi, my router appears in the app. But I am unable to activate "Anywhere access". Nothing is working for me.

I guess I need to send the bug report. This happens every time App is updated. Last time when it happened, I contacted Netgear on chat support last time and they led me to some steps on phone and made me download a patch (it wasn't available publicly). It worked and probably they updated it later and it continued to work. With new update, the same problem has surfaced.

I cannot do chat support now as free support period is over.

Is there anything else that may help?

Re: "Some error occurred while enabling/disabling Anywhere access"

I saw that one user posted not to recetly that they also had been using special characters in the admin log in for the router. They removed the special character and just used characters and numbers and this solved there issue of Anywhere Access not working.

I don't use any special characrters, just caps and lower case characters and numbers. You might try this.

@iyang I use only one - @

I changed my password without using special character, still it doesn't work.

I have the same issue and get the same error message. Is there a router update to fix the issue?

Thanks
