Horrible support forn rbr50

Mac's, multiple ones, multiple smmart phones, ethernet, wifi, etc. My wife started 4 hours ago trying to connect this this router. Should have read the reviews to see how f'd up this product is. The router showed as availbale in the network, she connected, and then it dropped. Been looking through all of the videos, support, resetting, reconnecting, etc. Nothing that cost this amount of money should ever be this hard to work. We flew a monkey in outer space 60 years ago, but can't get an Orbi to connect. I was on hold for 57 minutes, 7th in the que, everything sounded great. Once I finally got to a tech, she was breaking up, as if she wasn't from San Jose, and would drop soon. Within one minute, I lost a connection to the tech. Is this what we expoect from american companies? How do I connect to this piece of crap? My router from 10 years ago, a linksys ea3500 has been a work horse, and never gave me this many problems. I expect Netgear to call me back, doubt it. I should just send this over hyped piece of crap, and lousy support back.

You can try some of the suggestions here while you wait if you want:

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

https://kb.netgear.com/000051205/What-is-Ethernet-backhaul-and-how-do-I-set-it-up-on-my-Orbi-WiFi-Sy...

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?

What is the distance between the router and satellite(s)? 30 feet is recommended in between RBR and RBS to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected. https://kb.netgear.com/000036466/How-far-should-I-place-my-Orbi-satellite-from-my-Orbi-router

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

Try enabling Beamforming and MIMO(MIMO may or maynot be needed) and WMM. Under Advanced Tab/Advanced Settings/Wireless Settings

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Circle, Daisy Chain, Fast Roaming, IPv6 and Set 20/40Mhz Coexistence to 40Mhz only. Set Short preamble instead of Long preamble modes. Save settings and reboot the router and satellite(s).
