In home game streaming

I am trying to game stream from my computer to a TV using steam link. I have the computer hardlined into a mesh point (ms60) and the TV hard-lined into another mesh point. Both points are connected to the router (mr60) without going through any other points. I am having terrible unusable performance in games (including offline games). What settings or setup can I adjust to get better performance and stability.
