MESH MR 60 HomePod and phone

When asking my Homepod to do certain task that requires it to be connected to my Iphone i get the message it couldn't connect to my iphone and be sure they are on the same network. The are both at 5GHz and on the same sattlite. I did turn of the private address on my phone and it worked for a minute. It now doesn't connect to the phone again.
